Probate Court Pattaya

6 contacts this week for funerals, cremation and probate

There is nothing worse than getting that call that someone is dead

There is immediate shock, what to do, how to arrange everything from another country or locally, can I trust these people with a Power of Attorney

I am in the same position

At Thai888 Law we have many procedures that are like a production line. Over the years we learned by mistakes and tweaked our systems to make it easier for those overseas and my Thai staff, after all English is their second language and they don’t teach what we do in school or Uni. It sounds a bit cold however when a foreigner dies in another country there is a lot of red tape

Sign the Power of Attorney (POA)

There is a lot of trust involved here as you are signing your rights to someone you basically don’t know and many questions and concerns are raised. I know how you feel as I have a probate property in the UAE and need to sign a POA to the Lawyers to get a Grant from the UAE courts, to sell the property, and to send the money back to Thailand. Not easy and I have contacted dozens of Lawyers, had Zoom calls with them and over the past year nothing has happened. I am still waiting for an email, a contact, an update. There is no follow up from them and this makes me very nervous. Thai888 Law does not work this way. We send you a complete breakdown of costs, procedures, and any questions you need answers to.

Its strange to have a law office and a funeral service

No its not, we have 2 offices, one for the civil criminal company family matters and one for Abroad Funerals and Probate. This works very well as both are entwined and compliment each other. Example. When someone dies there are many docs issued including a POA, and these are Notarised (we can do this as we have lawyer notaries), Embassy letters, translation, banks transfers, legal authority to work for you to make the funeral cremation probate seamless and transparent. Don’t forget there is insurance as well and they’re a tricky bunch

Senator Rand Paul and covid misinformation

Thai888 Law remains open during pandemic 2021

Thai888 Law Open and Abroad Funerals Pattaya have 2 offices open during the pandemic. We have a full compliment of staff for legal service, accounting, power of attorney, notary, Dept Business Development, Land Office, and of courts all the legal work for funerals and Probate

The courts opened last week after a lock down and so we could get some of our civil cases (probate) heard. In all cases we were successful in getting a court grant to enable us to then wrap up the estate and send the residual (money) to the Beneficiaries both in Thailand and overseas. We are very grateful to the judge in understanding that the Executor of the Will could not fly into Thailand due to covid and in granting that I could act as the Executor for the Estate

This is of great benefit as it saves time, money, quarantine time, stress and the risk of spreading covid

Thai888 Law and Abroad Funerals take all necessary steps in temperature checks, masks, hand sanitizers, alcohol and runs filters in our aircon systems

Should you not want to come into the office we can be contacted via Skype, WhatsApp, Messenger, phone, fax, email, etc.

However you should send an email to us at [email protected] in the first instance as then we have a record and can follow your case

I congratulate our Mr Kim (Thai888 staff member) in getting his law license and look forward to working with him in court.

Thai888 Law & Abroad Funerals Pattaya Thailand

Review

Dear Mr Bamfield all the Thai888 (Law) Abroad Funerals) team (Pattaya) ,
I would like to wish you and your team a massive and truly heartfelt thank you for everything you have done for Ray, his adoptive Thai family, myself and his UK based brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces.
Under normal circumstances when I got the news he had left us I would have been on a plane in person but this was not possible. What could I do? It was Songkran and the embassy was closed. From the FCO they gave me the list of regulations and papers that were needed and Ray died without leaving an executor . How could I manage all that remotely from Switzerland?.
And then I found you and you took all that worry away from me. You knew exactly what needed to be done and I immediately felt safe, secure and confident that you and your team would take care of everything. And you did beyond my expectations will all the calmness and respect for a family grieving for the loss of their loved one. Perfect in fact.
I did manage to be present live (Facebook) (link here) and thank you for the live link and the recording. It was truly amazing from beginning to end. The walk around the temple (link here) , the readings, the offerings, the committal, the monks, the floral tributes was just well what can I see but… truly amazing.
Thank you and may God bless you all for all the great work you are doing for those in need and do not know where to go.
May you all have great success and I wish all good luck for the future.
With very best regards and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
David (Dave) McEwen

Common Law exists – Thai888 Law

Common Law

is alive and well in Australia and so make sure you have your affairs in order – read on NSW family taught hard lesson about inheritance after woman claims father’s super and estate By A Current Affair Staff|5 days ago A New South Wales family has learned the hard way that the people named to inherit superannuation when a loved one dies are not necessarily the ones who end up getting it.Mark Baker died in a car accident in southern Sydney last year. His family believe he fell asleep behind the wheel. As if his death wasn’t enough, the Bakers were further devastated when Michelle, who they believed Mark had boarded with, claimed his estate and super.Mark Baker’s son maintains he and Michelle were not in a relationship. (A Current Affair)”I couldn’t believe it, I couldn’t believe it. How’s this even possible? And immediately I thought ‘how dare you, my dad is dead,'” Mr Baker’s son, Nathan, told A Current Affair.Michelle claimed she and Mark were in a defacto relationship and even planning to marry. The assertion left the Baker family dumbfounded. They claim the pair were “definitely not” in a relationship.Despite Mark naming his children as beneficiaries of his super, Michelle was able to claim it after his death.

Common Law in Thailand

Most of the time this is not recognised , however recently a Dutch man proved that he brought money into Thailand for the express purpose of building a house for his intended wife. The common law partner did not build the house and so the man took the matter to court and he won.

Keep your receipts says Thai888 law

When you bring money into Thailand for property you need a bank TT3. Why? because at some stage in the future you may need to sell you house and take the money out from Thailand. A TT3 for the same amount will let you do this. Also should you have issues then you can take the matter to court and produce the TT3 as evidence.

Pre Nuptial works with Thai888 Law

a prenup as they are commonly called simply states that what you bring into the marriage is yours and is not paid of the combined property and no claim is made on it, as both sign this doc and register it at the time of marriage. However whatever you make after marriage is considered 50/50 upon divorce. This include debts and so if either party runs up debts via gambling, accident, etc. then each party is responsible.

Wills

It is most important that you make a Will. A Living Will is designed to withhold life sustaining artificial means to keep you alive. A Last Will is for your assets and funeral and who gets what. If you are a foreigner in Thailand a Will is a must have. Its not expensive and makes sure that your wishes are carried out to the fullest. Thai888 Will service is top class and we even offer an Executor service. For more details click here [email protected]

How do I write a Last Will and Testament with Thai888 Law, Funeral and Repatriation Services. 2019

This link is about a young couple and although married the husband had the mortgage loan in his name and NO WILL. Thai888 Law CEO does regular talks on why you need a Will.

how do I make a Will to leave my assets to my wife or children
Thai888 Law presenter Kelvin Bamfield at Pattaya Expats Club as recent as last Friday – just waiting for the new youtube video

In every presentation I do I request people to make a Will and they normally say I don’t have anything to benefit anyone – Well how wrong you can be as everyone has spent their life building something. Whether it be a bank account, a house, a business, a family it has taken years of hard sweat and time invested. Just being you on 100’s of databases needs fixing other wise bills could still be coming in and someone has to pay them!

The story below is tragic and as I tell my staff at Thai888 Legal – you need to think like a bank to fix probate problems – don’t think with your heart as the banks and other corporations don’t. They simply want their money and don’t care about you, the kids or where you end up.

Below is a classic example on why you need a Will and Testament and preferably one for Thailand and one for your country where some other assets might be. Thai888 Law can make a Will for you and have it Notarised for your country and its perfectly legal. For a checklist just click here and email me. Its free so don’t worry.
